Welcome to my little corner of the internet!
I’m a poet, short story, and sci-fi/fantasy writer. This blog is a space where I share my creative journey, offering you a glimpse into the vivid landscapes of my imagination and the intricacies of my thoughts.
You’ll find a collection of my poetry, short stories, fiction snippets, and open journal entries here. My work reflects my unique perspective, shaped by my experiences as an autistic individual. I am one of the many autistic women modern medicine left behind in childhood, only to be discovered in adulthood after everything had fallen apart. In my case, it fell apart many times in many ways before I finally met a professional who took my concerns about autism seriously.
Poetry has always been my way to cope with a world that is often chaotic, mysterious, frightening, and frankly traumatizing. After my diagnosis at thirty-one, all my previous poetry suddenly took on new meaning. I realized that much of my writing was a reflection of the pain and turmoil resulting from heavy masking—hiding my autistic traits to fit into society’s expectations.
Through my poetry, I explore the depths of emotion and the subtleties of human experience, aiming to honor the past version of myself who was trapped, raging against an unseen mask. I also hope to connect with other autistic women and individuals who might feel alone in their struggles. My short stories and fantasy pieces are portals to other realms, where the ordinary meets the extraordinary and the impossible becomes possible. In my open journal entries, I share candid reflections on my life, writing process, and the world around me.
My work is eclectic, like the chaos that characterized my mental state before I understood my true self. Themes range from vicious self-abasement to whimsical fancy and everything in between. My poetry is mainly experimental, raw, and often off the cuff, reflecting my ongoing journey of self-discovery and emotional expression.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope my words inspire, provoke thought, and provide a sense of connection. Let’s explore the magic of storytelling together.
